Jewish political leverage contributed to passage of landmark civil rights laws, nationally and locally. Once civil rights and religious groups mobilized the conscience of America against racial evil, changes came at least. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 were both drafted in the conference room of the RAC's building in Washington, D.C., under the aegis of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (which for decades was housed in the Center).

Those who participate in this class will receive a copy of his book upon registration. It is hoped that the class presentations and content in the book will shape the journey of participants toward scholarship and interfaith education. In this way, the class can serve as a jumping-off point for new discoveries, new philosophical views on old topics, and a hunger for new material. The book can be used as a teaching and discussion guide for adult education sessions of any size, and continue to be a handy reference guide.
