Judaism and Civil Rights - Zoom Class

What is the history of Jews and their connection with the Civil Rights Movement, both in the past and in the modern era? The Civil Rights Act and the Votings Rights Act were signed at a Jewish institution, the Religious Action Center; Abraham Joshua Heschel marched with Martin Luther King, Jr., and today Jews march for civil rights, with the Poor People’s Campaign, for racial justice campaigns, for police reform, and more.

Come and learn with Rabbi Mike as to how the Jewish texts and values match with the fight for the marginalized, loving our neighbors and welcoming the stranger!
